Deep Sky Astrophotography

The more you zoom in, the less time you have for exposure, so you’ll need something to compensate for the earth’s rotation. This is where a star tracker comes in and allows you to “freeze” the stars in situ and get longer exposures. These images can take an extremely long time to take, multiple images which then get stacked. Then there is the post processing which can take almost as long as the light from these distant objects is so faint, so you need to seek out every last bit of data that the camera captured.
