Hey! I’m David. Thanks for spending some time on my site.
I’ve being doing photography on and off since my last year at school. There, I learned the basics with an old Zenith EM camera and how to develop black & white film. I took a long break after that starting a career in IT, but came back to it in 2008, albeit in a digital format. I kicked things of rocking with a Canon 1000D and just a kit lens.
Now I shoot with Sony mirror-less gear. I mainly take landscape photography and I am really keen to extend my Astrophotography portfolio but living in Scotland, it’s a rare day when timings and the weather align to allow me to get out to shoot the night sky!
The alternative is the hills and the lochs. I live in a beautiful country, I am genuinely spoilt for choice. I play guitar too and I’ve been learning to produce music from scratch, recording multi-instruments and vocals, mixing, mastering and finally to release. I released my debut album 2019 called Reminisce. The artist name is Kyrakin.
I’m thinking of adding a video section to my site to showcase the timelapse and drone work I do. So look out for that in the near future. Also looking at writing the soundtracks for these videos. Maybe the odd tutorial too, once I get the technique down.
