Astrophotography - Wait till it is dark and point your camera up

This is a fairly new concept for me but I have the basics now, especially for wide angled starscapes. I’ve recently bought a star tracker to try and start to get deep field objects but getting the weather to align with when I can get out to shoot, is somewhat difficult in Scotland.
