You need to carry your equipment around efficiently and safely with peace of mind that if you fall the padding in the pack will keep your gear protected. I’m still on the lookout for a pack that will allow me to safely store camera gear and camping gear. I’m looking at Shimoda’s at the moment but until I get that all figured out I’ll keep using my Lowepro packs on the mini adventures.

I needed a pack that could carry minimal gear but also carry extra clothing and food when I’m hiking in the hills. This pack fits the bill where I can carry a camera and two lenses along with provisions and clothing for the day. I can also strap a small tripod and most importantly it’s light!

***** - A versatile pack for day hikes

The first pack I bought. I use this now for Astrophotography trips now as I can get my camera and star tracker in this pack along with strapping on a heavy duty tripod. This is a heavy duty well protected pack and as such I find it too heavy for walking in the hills with. The space at the top looks massive but it’s really limited somehow and isn’t enough to take food and clothing. Can’t fault the quality though.

**** - A heavy backpack but your gear will be secure.
